Blathering unnecessary opinions along with a spouting of garbage. Listen to me talk about my writing woes, creative disappointments, and the tragedy called life.

Neglect
I've been on a reading binge lately and can't be stopped. Crushed The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss and now obliterating Hyperion. All this is to gear up for NANO. I am really looking to serve up this challenge. But don't worry I will come back hard once Hyperion is done. And I only have 70 pages left to vanquish after work.

NANO CHALLENGE
So as I sit my pooper down I've begun to ponder what to write for this year's NANO challenge. Why don't you pull up a chair as well and relax before we chat.
First if you're not aware let me get you acquainted with this one month wonder. NANO stands for National Novel Writing Month. This site challenges a person to write a novel, or a great chunk of one, to 50k words inside a month. Once your manuscript is complete they simply do a word count and send you an email reward. The prize for completion is a printable "diploma" acknowledging your achievement. So no, you don't win cash, but what is money compared to confident boost of self esteem? The site is "www.nanowrimo.org" My hyperlink is being stubbron today, apologies.
This will be my second year attempting to thrwat this challenge. Last year I fell victim to my typical Timness and SPRINTED at first knocking out 8k words in a few days. Then the deadly grips of school and work caught me in their strangling grasp and forced my pen away. But this year it'll be different, I swear! No reasons exist to not finish the goal now that I only work part time and dropped out of school, just like the true bum I am.
So I've been brain storming and believe to have a pretty good direction so far on the plot. This quick writ novel is going to be a Fantasy genre taking place in a medieval type era. There'll be a King and Queen, Squires and Peasants, Werewolves and Vampires, Magic and Heathens. You know typical kind of shit.
I know... I know go ahead and roll those eyes. WEREWOLVES AND VAMPIRES? LIKE THAT HASN'T BEEN OVERKILLED!!! There I said it for you... Now give me your ears and see my vision on this concept and topic which has been mushed more than week old roadkill.
The reason Werewolves and Vampires are in the novel is so they can be decimated. And while so they are hideous diseased beings. My main character deals with this specific epidemic of this kingdom's society. So he runs around to keep the internal peace slaying the wolfies and vamps when they are discovered. And I'll repeat, they aren't beautiful or stunning. They are the utter slime of every social ladder. Being one is worst than being a tax collector. What is more awful than paying taxes? Though I admit the werewolves won't look as pathetic as the vamps. Something imaginable as this...
Anyways, basically the unnamed protagonist is part of a group of detectives who have special skills which make them awesome to deal with these paranormal threats.
But at the same time a fierce war is being waged against another rival kingdom. These enemies aren't supernatural though, just a normal land hoarding tyrant after the world. And some how and way which is yet mysterious to me they'll tie together. But the plot line is bound to change since I've only crafted the barest features. The bones are there, it just needs to be constructed.
And so as the days pass before the Sun declares November 1st I'll continue to deviate a creative and crazy story. I'll try to master the widget they offer on the site to keep an active wordcount available on the blog.
Salutations my friends.

How can you blame him?
So now what are you going to do? Your world has been dying for the last century and in order to revive it you begin to explore space to find sources of energy to replenish your home world's strength. Sounds like a good start and very logical.
Now let me state why I admire Megatron. Though I won't admit to be a super status geek on the Transformers franchise I've seen enough episodes and versions to draw a pretty conclusive opinion on this "villain". And maybe afterwards you may have a different perspective on this misunderstood robot. I think the guy has a sliver of a heart, even if he wouldn't admit it.
First lets begin with Megatron's crew. A small brigade of treacherous knuckleheads who are no different than a bunch of cobras. Each of them holds a loyalty as small and dwindling as a line of thread. The prime example is Starscream who constantly bickers and challenges Megatron for command. Then in most occasions is beaten to a pulp or plainly told to just shut up. But how Megatron keeps control of this shaky alliance is with a careful chain of fear and respect. This is how he has successfully shackled them into submission.
Typically whenever Deceptions are on screen Megatron is seen or mentioned. If they are sent on a mission they constantly ask if their leader would be pleased or what would he think on the situation. So not only have the Decepticons become physically concerned for their well being, but also now they've been mentally imprisoned. He's established a trustworthy crew now. It doesn't matter if their subordination is only through fear, or even if they resent their leader while performing the task. It won't matter as long as Megatron is the strongest of them all. So until then nothing will change. They will obey.
But probably the most important thing which keeps Megatron sharp is having an eternal rival. An equal who reminds him he'll never have full control. It keeps Megatron on edge and to continually push himself further. If Optimus Prime wasn't there to prevent the takeover on Earth perhaps the villain wouldn't be ready for the challenge of restoring Cybertron. For nothing is free and there is always some kind of exchange. As the Old die new young are born. But their stories carry forever on. Whether good or wicked history sings both tales.
So tell me what is a hero? A defender of your own kind who is willing to do anything to keep your race going even if it means the elimination of another peoples life? Or would you stand with a protector of life in general. Both sides on this war are more relatable than one would think after some pondering.

A Sappy Post of a Lost Love
So reading through Patrick Rothfuss's Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear does me the oh so kindness of reviving old feelings I had for a lady of the past. I've managed to banish such thoughts and bury them into the pits of my soul. But Patrick Rothfuss is no different than an emotional archeologist whose words have dug deep into my soul and unravel these secretly hidden emotions.
Anyways the main character has love issues no different than myself or anyone in general. And in all actuality I almost feel as if Rothfuss spied on the stories of my own past. Kvothe and Denna literally had the same exact fight in the second book as I did with my own lady. Though the book has been out for a year. Maybe I should of picked it up earlier to be more wary. Anyways we fought about all about nonsense of how I'm always Mr. Right and she couldn't nor doesn't want to be fixed and no one could ever understand. Also we were together but not official, no different than Kvothe and Denna again, and our relationship may have lasted only a quick span of months it was just too mysterious and awesome to be forgotten. So please forgive me if I am overdramatic about it, but sometimes life can be accountable over the most stupid of things...
So after reading another good chunk of that seemingly endless but good novel my own mind broke into many parts thinking about her, the past, and own life. Then a fourth part of my Alar began to construct a poem before a dreamless sleep claimed every part of my working mind. And this very work I will now share. Just let me tune my lute accordingly before I tell the tale.
If love is sight
It'd not be right
Rather search your heart
This is where it'd start
Thoughts wander
While the mind does ponder
Is this real?
Or just a game of zeal?
Was it an illusion?
Regardless, we met a conclusion
We got all dramatic
Which became problematic
So don't say I'm like your father
Now you're truly being a bother
Yet in my head you still do dwell
I admit it was a long way I fell
So heres to you
Cheers to all we've been through
And to the night that it did end
With all the txt messages we did send
A night one wouldn't believe
Such as that of a Christmas Eve
All these things I try to hide
Behind my thick and swollen pride
Though I guess it was not to be
Yet still this was a gift to me
The happiness we've had before
Is something which I'd never ignore

Busy Drama
Sorry for the lack of postage lately. But I had a rather busy weekend of parties and eating. Also I worked at the place as well. It wasn't too awful though because I got out early. Then my entire Sunday was devoted as usual to football. And yes my team won despite the Ref's devious plots of destruction. They are at times like worrisome wives. Seeing the minor while ignoring the obvious.
So now this brings me to today. As I am currently sitting in the library. And as always I look like a wild man with the growing beard.
But back to life and not my beautiful beard Zeus blessed me with. My book writing regiment has been very successful. I've been knocking down at least a thousand words a day while on two I've been cracking about two and a half. My people have finally started giving my novel a read through and are reminding me how awful my grammar is.
Pure success! I'd rather have scolding smart editors than licking at my crude between my toes.
Anyways for my lil cousin's bday which I am godfather over she only received the most excellent of gifts.
Such as two sticks of Unicorn Fart lip balm, a book about animals losing their underwear on a drying line, and to top it off a monstrous pumpkin at the unbeatable price of $2.88.
Admire the growth of my beard.
