Deception

One of my good friends and I were talking about something we both have noticed. This particular event involves while being on the road, and tends to happen to the male gender. Though I will not rule out that ladies fall victim to this "deception"--as the title proclaims--while cruising on the paths of smooth concrete.

So let me get to the point.

Old women are hazards on the road.

Now, before throwing fits and sexist slurs at myself hear me out. I shall explain this statement. I'm not saying that older women are incapable drivers. No, this is not a challenge to their skills behind the wheel. What this is about is them trying to fool my younger generations.

Driving can be a boring thing, especially on the freeway when you are cruising on a long haul of a distance. Once the mind begins to wander and the radio plays three awful songs in a row you begin to look around, maybe take notice of others driving as you pass or are being passed along.

This is when more than often I find myself in these awkward scenarios. Curious to see the person driving along I take a small peek. No big deal, but then I see it's a woman, and her hair is lush and impeccable. Now my interest is drawn in, I need to see who this hot damsel is. My foot hits the gas, my economical car pushes itself upon my command. This babe has captured my interest.

We are now side-by-side, still it isn't enough. I see her color-rich hair flowing and looking vibrant as a ray of sunshine. Down the pedal goes once again, a pang of embarrassment works into my gut as I dare one more look. Then I do, and I want to gage.

What I was so desperate to check out, risking the penalty of the law in the name of infatuation to see, is an old hag who has somehow obtained the hair of a 20-something lady. Being fooled I feign all interest I showed before, maybe I adjust my rearview mirror, or pick my nose. Something, anything, to cover my initial intentions.

So this is what I've got to say. Old women these days have awesome hair. Their hard earned money is being appropriately spent, they desire to look younger and that expensive hair product is doing its job. So what I have to say is, "Bravo!" Continue to deceive young men and boys such as myself.

As I say, "HUZZAH! FOR AWKWARD SITUATIONS!"
